Dr. Appelbaum is a well-known and highly respected pediatric dentist with more than 30 years of experience. He earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery.
In addition to his formal education, he regularly participates in continuing education courses and other professional development opportunities to remain on the forefront of his specialty. Dr. Appelbaum has held several academic appointments, including Associate Clinical Professor at Columbia University and the New York University School of Dentistry. He is a current member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Born and raised in the Bronx, Dr. Appelbaum began practicing dentistry while serving in the United States Army for many years. He lived in many different places, including several years in Germany. Upon returning to the United States he opened his private practice in Nutley, New Jersey.
Dr. Appelbaum is married to Lori and has two stepsons. In his free time, Dr. Appelbaum enjoys skiing, yoga, traveling, and walking his beloved dog Ben.
